Flac to Any Pro App Bewertungen

Macht was es soll

Macht zuverlässig was es soll.

Excellent App

This app works as described. It is fast, reliable and easy to use. Thank you!

Great converstion tool

I have used this app for 3 or 4 years, I think. I buy 24/96 FLAC files on-line then run them through this to produce a 24/96 ALAC file for my Mac Music collection. It is very straightforward to use and has been totally relaible. It is sort of the Swiss Army Knife of audio file converters so the flexbility is both impressive and useful. HIghly recommended.

Crashes with 10k songs....

It also doesn't do multiple simultaneously as it suggests in the prefrences. Also the prefrences don't get saved when you input values. The output says Output Movie directory. This is audio app not a movie app. I would like my money back

Once you figure it out..works well

Shame it doesn't remember my preference. And I have to start from scratch to convert. It is very versitile and easy to use once you undrstand its options. Quick conversion from FLAC to ALAC.

Excellent App

I love this app! Easy-to-use and sends the converted files directly to iTunes. Exactly what I needed.

Versatile and Easy to Use

There is nothing I like better than purchasing an app and finding it does everything I wanted it to do without any muss or fuss. The GUI is easy, the process is efficient, and, so far, it has worked perfectly every time!

disappointed

worked for a very short time - about 20 albums. just started giving errors and quit working. restarted several times and still hasn't resolved it. now that i look, it hasn't been updated in two years! not worth it.

Mostly good software

I have been using this software for several weeks now, and it is generally quite effective. I recently bought an album in flac format, and when attempting to convert to mp3, there were several errors, which were the same after multiple attempts. The interesting thing about this is, when I did toe same album in apple lossless, it worked flawlessly. So far this is the only album that has resulted in this type of error.

Needlessly complex, yet lacking features

On the one hand, it converts files to a dizzying array of formats. On the other hand, the common ones that I'd like to use need to be configured as custom, from a large set of options with zero guidance. There is no help‚ either in the app or on the developer's site. It's also missing the basic feature of splitting a FLAC file using a cue file. There is free software that does this. This feels like freeware with a tarted up interface.

Does exactly what it says, and does it well.

Finally, a simple, easy to use app for converting my space-consuming .flac files to Whatever format I want or need. Great app!

Flac To Any Pro

So many nice options to use to convert FLAC to what you need. Plus, one can dig down into the system and tweak settings as necessary. Great product that doesn't frustrate or disappoint. Thank you.

Does all I want

Program has a LOT of options. For me, it is easy to convert FLAC files soI can listenm to them in iTunes.

Great - it just needs to remember

All I want this app to do is give 100% conversions of FLAC to ALAC - and to do that when ever I put in a FLAC file. I have to keep reselecting "ALAC Atom" from the dropdown list

I want to cancel my purchase

I purchased this app to convert ALAC format audio files I extracted from CD via Itunes to mp3 format but this app could not import the ALAC files so I could not convert any files. I do not need this app and already deleted it. I want App Store would refund on my purchase.

No explanations

I love this software but there's no explanation as to what the presets do. I've emailed support from their website but there's no response.

Works like a dream

Needed to convert FLAC files for a non-flac player. Sought out a convertor and, based on reviews, bought FLAC PRO. Very pleased with the ease of converting and the quality of the results.

Helpful for iTunes users

Been using this for years and only had a minor problem once. And it really wasn't an issue so 5 stars nontheless.

Works well, reliably....

I use this to convert FLAC to ALAC....works great in batch mode, sends to iTunes....I do wish the modes panels at the bottom were in a bit larger font for my old eyes.....!

Unusable, Because It Takes Too Long To Load Files

Unfortunately, this app which I paid for is worthless, because it cannot load FLACS in any reasonable length of time. It gets frozen in an endless loop of waiting to load files, and therefore batch conversions are impossible. In fact, even one file can take forever to upload to the app. When one file loads, the conversion process worked fine, and it even uploaded to iTunes as I wanted, but I already had a free app that could convert one file at a time. I was willing to pay for batch conversion. Waste of time.

Yay! It works.

It does everything it claims to do and does it well. Look no further.

Works Great, one critique:

I have been happy with this software for years. The interface and conversions are all great. Every time the software is updated, it erases my customized conversion settings. if you could write your update code so it retains these settings, it would be appreciated. I did notice that the settings do get backed up, but it takes a bit of clawing around in the library to restore them.

Does what it says it will do, very well.

Great format support, with ability to customise settings as much as you want. Super stable, seems to have pretty good error correction because it has transcoded files that other converters choked on. I like this app.

Handles classical music badly

This app fails to maintain the folder structure of the source files. It is quite common for classical tracks to be simply named ‘andante’. This breaks the app. In cases where I have more than one recording of the same work and the individual tracks are identically named then each recording has to be processed separately. I have over 3500 tracks - which was why I needed an app to handle this automatically. Both the web site and the support link return a 404 error at Jan 28, 2018 11:59 UTC.

Great converter

This is simple to use. Was using XLD and came across some crashing issues. Researched and took a gamble on this. Easy to for me to convert my FLAC musics files to a iTunes readable files.

FLAC PRO does all I want it to, easily and efficient!

I’ve used (or tried to use several conversion systems for storing, replaying, and transferring music files from recorded live showsand haven’t found a better app than FLAC PRO. It continues to be my goto app for conversion of live shows, the best!

poor destination options

this does not allow me to save to the “source destination” so if you are batching and need the audio files in specific folders. you have to move them fromt he "flac to any” folder after the conversion. And it seems slow compared to the program I was using before (unfortunately I can’t remember what that was)

Behaves as advertised and very reliable

I have begun a collection of (entirely legal!) download-only music and needed software to accomplish this task. Over any number of downloads now, the software easily does what is asked. On occasion, I have to edit song titles (to remove underscore characters) or “disk numbers” on “multi disk” downloads. To be honest, though, I have no way of knowing whether this is a flaw in the metadata in my downloads or could be fixed with a more robust parsing system. In any case, this is a relatively minor inconvenience and doesn’t come up frequently. Color me satisfied.

Good app

Good app. Does what it says it can do, converts flac to other formats. Can do batch files, and select items within folders for easy upload. The user interface is a bit cumbersome but overall seems like a useful app.

Simple and easy

I was installed and converting in less than 5 minutes. There’s an option to immediately import your converted files into iTunes. The speed on my mid 2012 MBP was quick.

It Does

…precisely what it says it will do, and without anguish!

crashed

ive been using this app for over a year, as soon as i updated to the new public Beta of Sierra, it crashed as soon as i import an audio file, this needs to updated ASAP

Easy but powerful

Great product. Very fast and reliable.

Tenuous initial review

I find , initially, this app does the job effortlessly. So far, no problems. Easy to use, easy to control output, Fast accurate results. Looks like i’m not the only one who appreciates this fine, reasonably priced, work. Kudos to the Developer!. rickarooski

Works Great

I’ve had much experience with the other flac conversion app, the other popular program is pretty lightweight and ran well on an older 2010 MBP. I’ve only ran this app on a new 15” maxed MBP, so not sure of it’s performance on older systems, but it appears to be heavier. The price difference between this and the other app is negligeble, but the feature set is much broader on Flac to Any and in my opinion a better value. Plus the icon doesn’t look childish. Happy high-res converting!!

Rock solid and fast

I bought this last year to help convert my FLAC library to ALAC. The performance has been flawless and the application has a very good user experience. A fine balance between drag-n-drop-n-forget and deeper configurability. Excellent work!

Does Just What I Want

For my needs, this app works great every time. My files are converted and imported into iTunes without any problems. I’m not an industrial user, so I can’t speak to large volumes, but I’ve never had any problems. It’s a nice seamless solution.

Loses data and scrambles file contents

I tried converting flac files to ALAC with Flac Pro. It lost data and scramble the file so that I could not stream from one mac running itunes to another mac. Not recommended. I tried FLACTunes FLAC Convert and it worked perfectly.

ok converter but horrible media management

does an ok job of converting media but just dumps files into 1 big folder and does nothing to help you manage them. i would at least like it to retain the folder structure of the original files. something like: ARTIST/ALBUM/TRACK.FLAC after conversion into something like CONVERTED/ARTIST/ALBUM/TRACK.M4A or something like that. let me assign and output folder, then maintain the same kind of folder structure of the original. do this and it would be golden but force me to manually create an all new file folder structure and i want to slam my head into the nearest brick wall. FAIL!

Not worth your time if you’re bulk converting

My advice: Try the free version before dropping your hard earned cash for this app! The “pro” version is actually not very good. This app lacks simple options like: - Put converted files in source folder - Delete original files after conversion - Filename options - cue support - preference settings Also, the interface looks ok in the pictures but in use is rather bad. Bottom line: this is an Ok app if you’re just converting a few files. But if you need anything advanced, forget about it.

Skipped half my files!

Apparently, you can’t ask the program to convert many files at once and expect it to catch all of them. I do about 600 albums over a week, a handful at a time and half the files were skipped. Who has time to do this one album at a time?

Very good converter

Running this on MacBook Pro, 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, OS X 10.10.4. It does exactly what it says it does, does it well and integrates into a workflow easily. My use case is that I am a recent Mac convert and have 400+ albums all coded using flac, which we all know is not a format that Apple supports. In fact, it is not just iTunes which doesn’t speak flac, the entire OS treats it like some sort of heresy, which is to be acknowledged but never encouraged. After hours playing and researching, i decided to convert everything to ALAC for use with my Sonos system and will deal with the smaller portable, storage limited devices later. I like the drag and drop capability to select the music to convert, I like that the output destination is sort of remembered across opening and closing the application and it converts quickly (the music is on a NAS, so there is access time involved). The User Interface is simple and after a bit of experimenting, you can figure out how to put it into your workflow. I would like it if they added the capability to convert from other formats than flac so that when I compress for the portabie devices, I don’t have to find another solution - this doesn’t impact my rating, but it would be a great addition. Well worth the $5.99.

Works great

Easy to use, good interface….good purchase!

Easy Peasy

Just installed and converted Meddle from FLAC to ALAC in about 20 seconds and listening to in iTunes. What else do you need to know?

Fairly simple to use, works great so far

I recently bought a Pono, which I am very much enjoying. I bought the Pono (actually contributed to the Kickstarter) for several reasons. One, I am excited to have my music in as high of a resolution as is possible and still make sense. Two, because Apple is one of the wealthiest companies on the planet. Do I really need to be buying all my music from iTunes? Pono songs are in FLAC. While the Pono player sounds awesome, it is not practical for me to bring my iPhone AND a Pono everywhere I go. Especially if I am listening on medium quality headphones. Converting FLAC to ALAC was my solution. As I say in the title, this product is fairly simple to use. There are a lot of controls and presets you can mess around with. This made it a little slower to get started than I think is necessary. If I took the time to understand all the options I’m sure I would appreciate them. Since my task is pretty basic, once I figured out how to do the basic conversion I was able to convert about 5 albums in a matter of a couple minutes.

Great Stuff

I bought this full version after trying the free lite version. Its so easy to use and incredibly fast at converting files. No learning time needed.

Version 1.8 Great

I bought the app prior to this release (1.8). The previous version was problematic. The conversions would truncate the output files. HOWEVER, after updating to the current version (1.8), this problem is gone. It works great; the conversion are really fast. Perhaps there was an incompatibility between OS versions.

Perfect - Five Stars

Flac to ALAC first time every time!

Perfect for converting Flac to MP3

I haven’t had one problem with this ap. It converts whole albums in seconds flawlessly.

Great App

Very well done, easy to use, highly recommended. Excellent feature set.
